Welcome to HR Direct

COVID UPDATE

Since the start of the Pandemic, sickness absence due to Covid-19 covid has not been counted towards normal sickness absence with regards to pay or sickness absence triggers.  The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) made a policy decision to end Covid-19 sick pay provision with effect from 7th July 2022.  This means that from this date, there will no longer be access to extended covid sick pay (outside of normal contractual sick pay arrangements) for new episodes of COVID-19 sickness or access to COVID-19 special leave for the purposes of self-isolation.

These new arrangements will be phased over a two month period with a return to NHS sick pay and special leave, as set out in terms and conditions.

If staff have any specific queries we would encourage them to contact the HR team on 01625 656500 or ecn-tr.hradvisoryservice@nhs.net who will be able to provide specific support and guidance.

The Trust has an ambition to be a ‘brilliant place to work’ and we offer our staff a wide range of benefits. We have compiled our Trust Benefit Brochure to chose the different packages that we provide, covering the following:

  • Financial Support
  • Health and Wellbeing
  • Family and Lifestyle inc. flexible working options
  • Reward and Recognition
  • Learning and Development opportunities and resources

You can find our Benefits Brochure here on HR Direct under ‘My Working Life’ > ‘My Perks’ or follow this link https://www.eastcheshirehrdirect.nhs.uk/My-Perks.htm

We would love to hear your feedback, ideas and any suggestions that you may have to enhance the range of benefits packages we offer here at the Trust. You can do this by email the HR team at: ecn-tr.hradvisoryservice@nhs.net

We are looking to create two additional staff networks, one for colleagues who identify as LGBT+, and a second for colleagues who are disabled or carers across East Cheshire NHS Trust.  If you’re interested in getting involved, help us shape how these networks are structured and tell us what support you would like to see the networks provide by completing this short survey (link).

Paper copies can be requested by e-mailing ecn-tr.diversityandinclusion@nhs.net or contacting the HR Advisory team on 01625 656500
