New Starter

Once the pre-employment checks have been satisfactorily completed, a start date can be arranged between the Recruiting Manager and the candidate. The Recruitment team then issue the candidate with a Welcome Pack which includes their unconditional offer letter and contract of employment.

The Recruitment team is responsible for ensuring that a written statement of the Contractual Terms and Conditions of Service are released to the employee, once all checks are fully completed.

The Recruitment team will notify the ESR and Roster Teams to set the new starter up on both ESR and the Roster system.  

On the first day of appointment, the Recruiting Manager must ensure the employee has their ID badge and all of their IT access set up.

It is imperative that managers ensure that a signed copy of the contract is held on the employee's file.
