Changes to requesting IT access via the Helpdesk

MLCSU Helpdesk is pleased to announce that from Monday 20th July 2020, all requests for new system access will now go via their new All In One Smart Form. This is for new starters access, existing staff requiring new access, or temporary access extending.

Any requests which come either via Phone Call, the Self Service Call Logging Portal or Via Email will be redirected to the Smart Form; which makes it clear to see what items are required for completion. Please note that from the date of go live, we will no longer accept the old forms – although any that were logging on the system prior to this date will be processed.

Once you have completed the form, it will then log your request and you will receive the standard email with the details and your call reference. Depending on the access required, you may receive multiple call reference numbers, as some requests go to different teams – this will ensure that the calls get to the relevant team at the point of submission, and that nothing gets missed from your request.

Finally as normal; when the call is updated or resolved, you will receive the normal update emails or you can check the status of your request via the Self Service Portal. Should you need guidance using the Self Service Portal, please see our instructions here.
